Charles L. Charlie Krueger, age 78 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2012 at his home following a courageous battle with cancer. Charlie was born on March 21, 1934 in White Cloud to Walter and Reha (Ward) Krueger and married Nancy Messenger on September 22, 1951 in Rock Island, Iowa. Charlie has been a lifelong resident of the area where he had been a stone mason and bricklayer and was a proud member of International Union of Bricklayers and Allied Craft Workers. Charlie enjoyed fishing and hunting in his younger years, playing cards, talking politics with friends, hobby farming for many years, but especially enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. Charlie is survived by his wife of 61 years, Nancy of White Cloud; his children, Deb (Jim) Becker of Stanwood; Sue (the late Steven) Quick of Newaygo; Charles Krueger Jr. of White Cloud; Vicki (Frank) Blain of Fremont; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Di Gillette of Muskegon; Larry Krueger of Baldwin; Donna (Moe) Chupp of Newaygo; Geannie (Ron) Schroeder of Arizona; Sally Keather of Wisconsin; Barb Barber of Newaygo; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Allen Krueger in 1982; his brothers, Robert, Chris, Walt, Al and infant brother, Harry Krueger. VISITATION : Friday, December 14, 2012 from 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Saturday, December 15, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Harbor Hospice.
