Charles J. Martel, age 45 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 at his home. Charles was born on September 6, 1968 in Garden City, Michigan to Robert and Carol Ann (McMenamy) Martel Sr. and later moved to the White Cloud area in 1991 from Temperance. Charles had worked at Dura Automotive for a period of time and enjoyed sports, riding bikes with his children, snowmobiling in his younger years and spending time with his mother. Charles is survived by his children, Josh, Angel and Alexandria; his brother, Rob Martel of Westland; his sister, Chris Waganfeald (significant other, Mike) of Hesperia; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carol Ann Martel in 2012 and by his father, Robert Martel Sr. in 2006. A time of gathering and remembrance will be held on Friday, February 7, 2014 at 5pm at the family home and graveside services will be held in the spring at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in White Cloud. Friends may consider the Martel family to assist with funeral expenses for memorial contributions in memory of Charles.
