Charles L. Nichols, age 62 of Muskegon formerly of Bridgeton, passed away Wednesday, December 2, 2015 at his home following a short illness. Charles was born on January 13, 1953 in Cincinnati, Ohio to Francis and Peggy (Winchel) Nichols and had been a longtime resident of the Bridgeton area. Charles had been a Journeyman at Bil Mar Foods in Zeeland and was currently working at Top Line Hy-Lift in Muskegon. Charles was an active member of ABATE and had been the membership coordinator for several years. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle on motorcycle runs sponsored by ABATE and assisting with various fund raising activities within the organization. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army. Charles is survived by his children, Scott (Kim) Nichols of Baldwin; Susan (Joe) Archer of Las Vegas, Nevada; his grandson, Jeremy Archer; step grandchildren, Mark Ticer, Beth Ticer, Christina Archer, Jessica Kostrzeski; great grandchildren, Scott, Hunter, Hunter and Mkiala; his mother, Peggy Nichols of Alaska; his sisters and brothers, Joanne (Gary) Taube of Alaska; Penny Seacrest of Alaska; Howard Nichols of Muskegon; Ross (Rose) Nichols of Alaska; Karen; several nieces and nephews. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Francis Nichols; his sister, Carol Nichols and his brother, John Nichols. VISITATION : Friday, December 18, 2015 from 1-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel (7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI) with MEMORIAL SERVICES at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with Military Rites at the funeral home.
