Obituary

Charles H. Rose, age 85 of Hesperia, passed away Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont following a short illness. Charles was born on March 12, 1929 in Muskegon to Clayton and Lela Iris (Alexander) Rose and has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area. Charles had been a an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed trapping, coon hunting and fishing. Charles had worked for 28 years, primarily in the core room, at the CWC Textron in Muskegon until his retirement. Charles was a veteran of the United States Army where he served during the Korean War. Charles is survived by his children, Charles C. "Charlie" (Cheryl) Rose of Hesperia; Debra R. (Kevin) Whelchel of Bitely; several stepchildren; 5 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; several step grandchildren and step great grandchildren; his sister, Diane Rose of Fremont. Charles was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton and Iris and his brothers, Jerry Rose, Lloyd Rose and Lawrence Rose.

Memorial graveside services will held on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 1pm at the West Hesperia Cemetery with military rites given at the cemetery following Charles' wishes for cremation. Arrangements by Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel.
