Obituary

Charles N. Seabrook, age 82 of White Cloud, passed away Sunday, November 28, 2004 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Charles was born on March 12, 1922 in New Philadelphia, Ohio to Charles and Annie Elizabeth (Broadhurst) Seabrook and graduated from New Philadelphia High School in 1940. He later started working at the Wyandotte Chemical Company (currently BASF) in Wyandotte, Michigan where he was an instrumentation engineer until his retirement in 1970. He moved to White Cloud in 1971 from Gibraltar, Michigan and started working at Rosenberg Hardware until 1984. Chuck was an active member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church for over 30 years, was an avid Ohio Buckeyes Fan, was a member of the Schoenbrunn Valley Barbershop Chorus and was a member of the Society for the Preservation and Encouragement of Barbershop Quartet Singing in America, S.P.E.B.S.Q.S.A. He was a veteran of World War II where he served in the United States Army and was a member of the White Cloud VFW. He is survived by his children, Nancy (Dennis) Craft of Toledo, Washington; Judy (Art) Corbin of Longbeach, New York; Brian (Alecia) Seabrook of White Cloud; Brent (Brenda) Seabrook of Cleveland, Ohio; Bill (Jeanine) Seabrook of Columbus, Ohio; Barry (Rita) Seabrook of White Cloud; his grandchildren, Justin and Danielle Dimaggio; Scott and Shelby Seabrook; Nicole, Erica, Brittany, Caitlin, Rachel, Lydia, Hannah, Joshua, Bowman, Buchanan, Madeleine; his sister, Adella Onstead of Newcomerstown, Ohio. He was preceded in death by his sister, Joy; and brothers, Byron and Bill. Funeral memorial services were held on Friday, December 3, 2004 at the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman of the White Cloud United Methodist Church presiding. Friends are asked to consider the White Cloud United Methodist Church Piano Fund for memorial contributions in memory of Chuck.
