Charles Chuck Wesley Snyder III, age 60 of Walkerville, passed away Wednesday, July 23, 2008 following injuries received in accident in Hart. Chuck was born on May 31, 1948 in Grand Rapids, the oldest son of Charles Wesley Wes and Esther Mae (Haskin) Snyder II who preceded Chuck in death to await and welcome their son to heaven. Chuck met and later married Sharon Conkright on September 5, 1969 in White Cloud and has been a sawyer in the lumber harvesting industry for many years. Chuck was an active member of the Hesperia Baptist Church where he enjoyed teaching Sunday school, was a song leader and sang during services. Chuck also enjoyed gardening, woodworking, writing books, reading nutritional books and sharing his knowledge about eating healthy. Chuck served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam Era. Chuck is survived by his wife of 39 years, Sharon of Walkerville; his children Angela Williams and fianc, Jeff Cole of Whitehall; Charles Wesley Snyder IV of Muskegon; Aaron Michael Snyder of Muskegon; his granddaughter, Amanda Williams of Whitehall; sisters and brothers, Richard (Marilyn) Snyder of Bangor; Marcia (Keith) Kropf of Newaygo; Beth (James) Wittenberger of Newaygo; Dale (Sandy) Snyder of Bangor; many nieces and nephews; his father-in-law, Richard Conkright of Big Pine Key, Florida. VISITATION : Sunday, July 27, 2008 from 3-4pm at the Hesperia Baptist Church. FUNERAL SERVICES : Sunday at 4pm at the church with Rev. Tom Mackay presiding. INTERMENT : Abson Cemetery.
