Charles "Chuck" T. Myers, age 73 of Fremont, formerly of Newaygo; passed away Monday, January 13, 2020 at the Mercy Health Partners – Sherman Campus in Muskegon following a lingering illness. Chuck was born on September 21, 1946 in Detroit and grew up in the Brohman area and graduated from White Cloud High School. Chuck married Vicki Reed on September 29, 1978 in Sparta and moved to the Fremont area in 2017 from Newaygo. Chuck was a concrete and bridge cutter for Concrete Cutting and Breaking Company and heavy equipment operator for Barber Creek Sand and Gravel until his retirement. Chuck is survived by his wife of 42 years, Vicki of Fremont; his children, Charles (Ashley) Myers Jr. of Spring Lake; Dustin (Erika) Myers of Grant; Max (Colleen Nicholson) Myers of Fremont; Myra (Denver Woodard) Myers of Grand Rapids; 4 grandchildren; his brother, John Gilmore of Fremont. Chuck was preceded in death by his mother, Henrietta Gilmore. Following Chuck's wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at the family home in the summer of 2020.
