Christine K. Carney, age 51 of Whitehall, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2015 at her home, Kellys Kare Adult Foster Care Home. Christine was born on November 14, 1964 to Richard and Cheryl (Hart) Carney. Christine graduated from Wesley School in Muskegon in 1991 and enjoyed fresh flowers, going out to eat, getting her hair styled and spending time with her mom. She also enjoyed swimming, bowling, had been a participant in Special Olympics, going to movies, listening to music and spending time with her nieces, nephew and family dogs. Christine is survived by her mother, Cheryl (Michael) Blakely of Whitehall; Richard (Lynne) Carney of Muskegon; her brother, Richard (Jeannie) Carney II; special nieces, Tara and Juliette and special nephew, Richie; several cousins; aunts and uncles, Gary (Terry) Hart; Connie Bell; Nancy (Joe) VanDyke; Robert (Barb) Carney; grandma and grandpa, Marge and Johnny. Christine was preceded in death by her step father, Richard Dobe, her grandparents, Maxine Blackburn and William Hart. Memorial services will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 11am at the Holton United Methodist Church (9530 Holton-Duck Lake Road Holton MI 49425) with a time of visitation 1 hour prior to the services at the church. Christine loved fresh flowers and friends are encouraged to remember her in tribute with fresh flowers at the memorial services. Flowers may be purchased at Flowers by Ray & Sharon in Muskegon.
