Cindy S. Schornagel, age 65 of Fremont, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2014 in Fremont following a long battle with cancer. Cindy was born on October 12, 1948 in Muskegon to Lester Bud and Anna Belle (Barnes) Enell and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1966 and moved to the Fremont area at the age of 19. Cindy started working at Grabill Trucking and later for Gilliland Transfer and eventually retired from Michigan Produce Haulers in October 2012 after over 40 years. Cindy has been an active participant and volunteer for the Relay of Life in Newaygo County for over 20 continuous years. Cindy enjoyed road trips and traveling, golfing, bowling, ceramics and house sitting for many in the community. Cindy was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and was glad to know the Tigers became the American League Central Division Champs on Monday. Cindys great love was spending time with her grandchildren and great nephews. Cindy is survived by her children, Wendy (Dan) Bain of White Cloud; Jeffrey Schornagel (Bruno Silva) of Houston, Texas; her grandchildren, Nicholas Boltz and Blake Bain; her sisters and brothers, Randy (Betty Jo) Enell of Spring Lake; Leslie Robar of Fremont; Sandi Enell of Fremont; her cousin and best friend, Gayle (Don) Visscher of Fremont; her aunt, Barb Cazier of Kent City; several nieces, nephews and cousins. VISITATION : Sunday, October 5. 2014 from 1-3 at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. MEMORIAL SERVICES : Sunday, October 5, 2014 at 3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Newaygo County Cares for a Cause or the caregiver fund, c/o Crandell Funeral Home.
