Clara I. Fredenburg, age 81 of Twin Lake, with her family by her bedside, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 30, 2002 at the Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. She was born on March 24, 1921in Ramona, Michigan, near Diamond Lake, Newaygo County to Eli and Elizabeth (Chupp) Kuhns and married Sylvester Fredenburg on July 20, 1941 in White Cloud. Sylvester preceded her in death on July 2, 1989. Clara had been a homemaker all her life and was a member of the White Cloud Mennonite Church where she was active in the White Cloud Mennonite Ladies Sewing Circle. She is survived by her children, David Fredenburg of Twin Lake; John (Cathy) Fredenburg of Rothbury; Mae (Lawrence) Taylor of Ferrysburg; Larry (Michele) Fredenburg of White Cloud; Steve (Sandra) Fredenburg of Shelby; Susan (Jerry) Harding of Rothbury; Jean (John) Burkholder of White Cloud; Allen (Margo) Fredenburg of Montague; 18 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Susan Fredenburg of White Cloud; Ruth Kuhns of White Cloud; Betty (Delbert) Burkholder of White Cloud; Barbara Holleman of Old Hickory, Tennessee; David (Barbara) Kuhns of White Cloud; Martin (Lucile) Kuhns of White Cloud; Lenus (Ada) Kuhns of White Cloud;; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her son, Edward Fredenburg; her brothers, Eli Kuhns; Jonas Kuhns; Ira Kuhns; Ed Kuhns and William Kuhns Funeral services were held on Tuesday, June 4, 2002 from the White Cloud Mennonite Church with Mr. Mark Richey presiding. Interment was in the Amish Cemetery in White Cloud with Mr. Richard Near presiding over the graveside services.
