Claude Shue, age 82, of Fremont passed away on Friday, November 14, 2014, at Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Claude was born on May 19, 1932, to Earl and Margaret (Johnson) Shue and married Patricia Ann Clough on March 2, 1956, in Grant. Claude worked in the kitchen at Gerber Products Company for 40 years and proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean War. Claude enjoyed camping and traveling with Pat. He looked forward to spending time with his coffee buddies every morning and was an active member of the Fremont United Methodist Church. Claude is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; children, Russell Russ (Karen) Shue of Graham, Washington, Joan (Larry) Smalligan of Fremont, and Harold Bob Shue of Fremont; grandchildren, Jon (Quincy) Shue, Jamie (Trent) Smith, Curtis Curt (Suzie Grafton) Smalligan, and Christa Smalligan; great-grandchildren, Caylee, Madison, Kennedy, and Isabella; and sister, Barbara Jorgensen of Gowen, Michigan. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Roger Shue, Arvid Shue, Marge Rivait, Mary Louise Weaver, and Donna Haught. There will be a Memorial Service held at 1 PM on Wednesday, November 19, 2014, at the Fremont United Methodist Church with Pastor Martin Cobb officiating. Visitation and time to meet with the family will be held from 11 AM to 1 PM prior to the service at the Church. Interment will be in Ashland Center Cemetery.
