Obituary

Clifford Warren Hicks, age 69, of Hesperia passed away on March 12, 2013 at his home with his family by his side. Clifford was born on December 14, 1943, in Oceana County and was the son of Ernest and Mary (Kyser) Hicks. Clifford retired from Michigan Industrial Metal Products in Muskegon and enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, working on his tractor, and welding projects in his garage. He was a member of the United Furniture Workers and was a member of the Hesperia American Legion having served as a Sergeant in the US Army. Clifford is survived by his companion Marian Pulsipher; children, Clifford W. Hicks Jr. of Hesperia, Candy (Germaine Schaub) of St. Johns, Joshua (Kaelyn Griffes) Hicks of North Dakota, Tosha Hicks of Fremont, Donald (Laura) Hard of Arizona, Rex (Susan) Hard of Muskegon, Tonya (Todd Franks) Hard of Muskegon, and Cindy (Clint) Whitmore of Tennessee; 18 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his sister, Marion Faye Morton; brothers, Harry Smith, Ken Smith, and LaVerne Smith; and one grandchild. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon on Monday, March 18, 2013 at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Jerry Depoy officiating from the Family Bible Church in Muskegon. Interment will be in East Hesperia Cemetery. There will be visitation prior to the service from 10 AM to 12 noon at the funeral home.
