Clifford E. Ralston, age 90 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, September 26, 2008 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans in Grand Rapids. Clifford was born on November 25, 1917 in Grand Rapids to Clyde and Almeda (Wiggins) Ralston and met and later married Elizabeth Starr on November 12, 1941. Elizabeth preceded him in death on November 19, 1999. Cliff had worked as a painter at Steelcase in Grand Rapids until his retirement in 1980 when he moved to the White Cloud area. He served in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249. He also enjoyed being in the Michigan outdoors where he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and gardening. He is survived by his daughter, Diane Piskun of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Greg Davison of Illinois; Amy Russell of Wayland; Mellissa (Andrew) Miasner of Georgia; 3 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert (Vernona) Ralston and Lyle (Beatrice) Ralston. VISITATION : Monday from 6-8pm. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday at 11am at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Twp. Cemetery.
