Clorine Corky Halsel, age 91 of White Cloud formerly of Hartford, Michigan went to be with her maker on Friday, June 8, 2007 at the Transitional Health Services in Fremont. Corky was born on July 12, 1915 in Judsonia, Arkansas to William and Alpha Cartwright and later married Louis Halsel. Louis preceded her in death in 1981. Corky moved to White Cloud 10 years ago from Hartford where she had been a homemaker. Corky is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Darrell & Romona Halsel of White Cloud; grandchildren, Darrell Howley of Watervliet, John Howley of Watervliet; Leannette Brownlow; Joe Brownlow; Eric Halsel of Montana; Josh Halsel of North Carolina; Robert Jordan of Arizona; several great grandchildren; her brother, Gordon Cartwright of Hartford; her sister, Othrene Horton of Benton Harbor. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Jeannette Malone. Memorial graveside services were held on Saturday, June 16, 2007 at the Maple Hill Cemetery in Hartford following cremation.
