Connie Cook, age 84 of Fremont, passed away Monday at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility. Connie was born on June 15, 1924 in Muskegon to Floyd and Lula (Goodrich) Alger and moved to Fremont in 1960. She married Charles Cook on Sept. 3, 1960 and he preceded her in death in 1992. Connie owned and operated Artiste Coiffeur Beauty Salon in Fremont and enjoyed reading, winning at Bingo, square dancing, and riding motorcycles. She was a member of the Holton American Legion Ladies Aux. and was a former member of the Women of the Moose. SURVIVORS : Judi (Vern) Johnson of Fremont; Larry Stout (fianc, Valerie Gotts) of Hesperia; grandchildren, Mark (Ruth) Johnson; Bill deceased (Kim) Johnson; Christie (Dan) Handy; Vern (Angie) Johnson Jr.; Ellen (Roy) Thebo; Cami (Jeff) Cooper; Ryan Lorenzen; Tyler Gotts; 16 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; her former husband, Lawrence Stout (special friend, Jerry Zuidema) of Englewood, FL; stepson, Dale (Charlotte) Cook. Preceded in death by 4 sisters and 1 brother; her stepson, Glenn Cook. VISITATION : Wednesday, 2-4 & 6-8 at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday at 11am at the Crandell Funeral Home. INTERMENT : Maple Grove Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : Reflections Unit at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility.
