Thumser, Conrad D. Conrad D. Thumser, age 71 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, October 9, 2005 on Drummond Island. Conrad was born on September 18, 1934 in McBain, Michigan to Edwin and Irene G. (Guthrie) Thumser and married Audrey Richards on June 9, 1953 in White Cloud. He has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where he had been a heavy equipment operator and worked in the logging industry for several years. He and his wife, Audrey and partner, Glen Thompson built the Lamplite Inn in 1973 which they operated until 1981. He enjoyed football and played on a winning season White Cloud Football team. He enjoyed his dog and cat, hunting, taxidermy on fish and spent many years fishing on Drummond Island. He was also a charter member of the White Cloud Eagles. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Audrey of White Cloud; his daughters, Connie (Todd) Hart of White Cloud; Chris (Randy) Gooding of White Cloud; his sister, Barbara (Ron) Richards of White Cloud; his brother, Paul (Pat) Thumser of White Cloud; sister-in-law, Donna (Bruce) Freathy of Grand Blanc, Michigan; several nieces and nephews; many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Irene on March 8, 2000 and by his father, Edwin on October 26, 1992. Funeral services were held on Thursday, October 13, 2005 from the White Cloud United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeff Bowman presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Friends may consider the American Heart Association or Bellwether Foundation in Fremont for memorial contributions in memory of Conrad..
