Cynthia Dawn Dore, age 62 of Fremont, passed away Saturday, December 5, 2020 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Cyndi was born on March 24, 1958 in Fremont to Peter G. and Nancy D. (Hills) Dore. She graduated from Fremont High School in 1976. Cyndi was a clerk and cashier with Walmart in Fremont for over 20 years, at one time managing the crafts department. She was skilled in the hand arts: knitting, crocheting, needlework, and ceramics. Cindy enjoyed traveling and meeting friends in Nashville, Branson and the Black Hills of South Dakota. Cindy loved her cats, Smokey and Greenly; her many friends, all kittens, unicorns, and cooking her Grandma Hills' favorite dishes. Cyndi is survived by her uncles, Robert (Imelda) Hills of Peachtree City, Georgia; Charley (Gayle) Dore of Holton; her aunt, Pauline Hills of White Cloud; many cousins. Cyndi was preceded in death by her mother, Nancy Dore on April 11, 2009; her father, Peter Dore on January 11, 2011 and by her brother, Peter G. "Opie" Dore II on October 3, 1980. Following Cyndi's wishes, cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 20, 2021 at 2pm at the East Hesperia Cemetery in Hesperia where Cyndi will be placed to rest next to her parents and brother.
