Shick, D. Joyce D. Joyce Shick, age 70 of White Cloud, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 14, 2006 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids following surgery. Joyce was born on May 31, 1935 in White Cloud to Ira and Elsie (Brannon) Cruzan and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. She met and married Norman Shick on April 27, 1957 in White Cloud and was a member of the White Cloud Seventh Day Baptist Church. Joyce had started work as a secretary at the Newaygo County Clerks Office where she worked for 28 years until she changed offices and started working for the Newaygo County Treasurers Office where she worked for another 11 years and retired after 39 total years with the County of Newaygo. She enjoyed boating, fishing, gardening, and her beloved cat, Morty. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Norman of White Cloud; her son, Mike and fianc, Nicole of Grant; her grandchildren, Jennifer Tatro, Steven Tatro, Michael Wilson; 2 great grandchildren, Courtney and David Jr.; her sisters and brothers, Marian (Ruth) Cruzan of White Cloud; Don Cruzan of White Cloud; Marvin (Jackie) Cruzan of White Cloud; Irvin Cruzan of Fremont; Doris Peck of Colorado; Harvey (Carol) Cruzan of North Carolina; Marvel (Phil) Pamroze of Georgia; many nieces and nephews; her special friend, Margie Worley of White Cloud. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, April 19, 2006 from the 7th Day Baptist Church in White Cloud with Rev. Bernie Wethington presiding with interment in the White Cloud Cemetery.
