Dale O. Wright, age 91 of White Cloud went to be with his Lord on Thursday, April 12, 2012, with his family by his side. Dale was born on June 25, 1920, in Elkins, West Virginia to Howard and Minerva (Fox) Wright and married Mary Geraldine Tenney on November 25, 1943. Dale and Mary owned and operated Dale O. Wright Plumbing and Heating in Elkins, West Virginia for several years and then worked for the City of Detroit as a building and safety engineer and inspector. He later retired from the City of Detroit and had served as a Union Steward for the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees. Dale served his country as a pilot in the Army Air Corp. during WWII and was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Michigan. Dale served on the Newaygo County Planning Commission, Everett Township Zoning Board, and was a member of the White Cloud United Methodist Church. Dale was an avid fisherman and loved the outdoors. Dale is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Mary Geraldine Wright; children, Jerry (Rosemarie) Wright of White Cloud, Patricia (Steve) Damon of White Cloud, and Linda (David) Goff of White Cloud; 7 grandchildren; 24, great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild; and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his 5 brothers, Norman, Victor, Robert, Russell, and Darl. Visitation for Dale will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 5-8 PM at the Crandell Funeral Home in White Cloud. Funeral Services will be on Wednesday at 1 PM at the White Cloud United Methodist Church with interment in Big Prairie Cemetery.
