Dallas Gene Bergakker, age 50 of White Cloud, passed away Wednesday morning, October 15, 2008 at his mothers home in White Cloud following a short illness. Dallas was born on September 10, 1958 in Grand Rapids to Mervin and Kathy (Ellen) Bergakker. Dallas moved to the White Cloud area from Three Rivers in 1999 where he had been a welder in the home building and travel trailer industry. Dallas enjoyed gardening, fishing, taking care of the family horse farm and being around the horses. He is survived by his children, Serena (Bill) Sharp of Mottville, Michigan; Leif Bergakker of Mottville, Michigan; his mother and step father, Kathy (Don) VanAuken of White Cloud; his father, Mervin Bergakker of Grand Rapids; his grandchildren, Leif Jr. Bubbu; Bryce, Logan, Missy; and Josh; his sister, Darla (Jeff) Middlestadt of White Cloud; his brothers, Eric VanAuken of White Cloud; Jerry (Kathy) Bergakker of Portage; Matt (Diane) Bergakker of Three Rivers; special niece, Summer Middlestadt; several step brothers and sisters, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held on Friday, October 17, 2008 from 1-3pm at the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with burial following at the Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. Friends may consider Hospice of Michigan, Newaygo County for memorial contributions in memory of Dallas.
