Daniel Alvin Frantz, age 78, formerly of White Cloud, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2020, in Belding, Michigan. Daniel was born on March 14, 1942, in White Cloud to Raymond Albert and Anna Mae (Clary) Frantz. Dan enjoyed a career in construction and continued as a self-employed contractor. He also enjoyed working on cars, visiting with friends and family, and proudly served in the United States Army as a combat soldier during the Vietnam War. Daniel is survived by his former wife Linda (Jewett); children, Melanie (Robert) Scribner of Grandville and David Frantz of Grand Rapids; grandchildren, Meghan Torres, Micah Lynch, Ava Scribner, Winona Frantz, Victoria Frantz, and Debbie Ann Frantz; great-grandchild, Ezrah Diekema; brothers and sisters, LaVerne (Lois) Frantz of Ravenna, Richard Donald Frantz of Texas, Joyce (Dan) DeGraw of White Cloud, Wayne (Mary) Frantz of Florida, Margie Carpenter of Muskegon, Gary Lee (Renee) Frantz of White Cloud; brother-in-law, Edwin Burns of Sparta; and many nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Anna Frantz; sister, Myrna Jean Burns: brothers, Raymond George Frantz and Walter Frantz: brother-in-law, Jimmy Carpenter, and grandsons: Dustin Frantz and David Scott Frantz. Internment services will be held at 10AM on Tuesday, December 8, 2020, at the Lincoln Township Cemetery with Military Honors. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later time.
