Daniel John Gervenak, age 66, of Fremont passed away on Monday, October 24, 2016, at his home. Dan was born on March 12, 1950, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Richard John and Loraine (Wink) Gervenak. Dan married Robin Boldt and then later married Marilyn Janette Mottashed on June 15, 1991. Dan enjoyed golfing, NASCAR racing, all types of music, and was a wonderful cook. Dan and Marilyn attended the United Methodist Church in Fremont.

Dan is survived by his loving wife, Marilyn; children, Ryan Richard Gervenak of Grand Rapids, Amy Jo Smith of Texas, Jessica Ann (Erica Tascott) Gervenak of Grand Rapids, Zachary John Gervenak of Texas, Charlie Gordon (Sarah) Mottashed of Marietta, Georgia, and Greg Brent Mottashed of Pinedale, Wyoming; grandchildren, Alec Nathaniel Mottashed, Andrew Keegan Mottashed, Atticus Dylan Smith, and Zachary Michael Gervenak; sister and brothers, Kathy LaBombard of Texas, Robert (Dixie) Gervenak of Crystal Falls, Michigan, David (Lisa) Gervenak of Baxter, Minnesota, and Jerry (Beverly) Gervenak of Wisconsin; mother-in-law, Vera Spencer; and special friends, Gary and Jodi Bunce of Fremont.

Memorial services will be held at 11 AM on Saturday, November 12, 2016, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Pastor Martin Cobb officiating. There will be visitation prior to the service at the funeral home from 10 - 11 AM. For a more lasting memorial friends may make contributions to True North in Fremont.
