Daniel L. Oberlin Sr., age 76 of White Cloud, passed away Friday, October 4, 2019 at his home following a short illness. Dan was born on February 2, 1943 in Muskegon to Richard Keith and Phyllis Eileen (Newville) Oberlin and joined the United States Army at an early age. Dan returned to the Muskegon area after his honorable discharge and had been a self-employed carpenter for many years and moved to the White Cloud area in 1970. Dan enjoyed his trade of carpentry, fishing and his grandchildren and spending time with family. Dan is survived by his children, Dan (Bea) Oberlin Jr. of White Cloud; Kenneth E. (Birgit) Oberlin of Sembach, Germany; Michelle Oberlin of White Cloud; Kevin (Amy) Oberlin of Shelby; several grandchildren; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Dan was preceded in death by his brothers, Michael and Jerry Oberlin and by his granddaughter, Taylor Oberlin. Celebration of Life Services will be held at on Thursday, October 10, 2019 from 3pm - 7pm. at the White Cloud Eagles #4170 Pavilion. Military honors and interment will be in the White Cloud Cemetery at a later date.
