Daniel Leroy Rogers, age 75 of Fremont, passed away Wednesday, June 5, 2024 at the Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont.  Dan was born on February 20, 1949 in Muskegon to Silas and Jessie (Cobb) Rogers and graduated from Holton High School.  Dan has been a lifelong resident of the area and had been a machinist at Sealed Power for many years until his retirement.  Dan married Mary Scott and she preceded him in death.  Dan later met and married Peggy McDaniel on May 30, 2009 in Greenville.  Dan was an active member of the Church of God Ministry Center in White Cloud where he and Peggy were the leaders of the J.O.Y. Adult Ministries for several years.  Dan enjoyed fishing, sport shooting, his 57 Chevy, and loved to pick on his mother-in-law.  Dan loved eagles and their significance -  But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles;…they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31.

A special thank you to Corewell Health Gerber Hospital ICU, nurse Dan, and all nurses for the care given to the family and also to the church family and friends for the support and prayers.

Dan is survived by his wife, Peggy of Fremont; his son, Jeremy (Kerri) Rogers of Fremont; his granddaughters, Kaylee and Lexie; his siblings, Bob (Doris) Rogers of Twin Lake; Stanley (Tami) Rogers of Holton; Lynn Knash of Holton; Rhonda (Ron) Johnson of Holton; Lori (Marty) Witt of Holton; Sandy (Bryan) Covey of Sand Lake; Cathy (Dave) Brake of White Cloud; many nieces, nephews; his mother-in-law, Becky Clark of Belding.  Dan was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary; his sons, Daniel Rogers and Christopher Rogers; his brother, Steven William Rogers.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICES : Sunday, June 9, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at the Church of God Ministry Center in White Cloud 1621 S.
