Daniel Lee Stone, age 64 of Holton, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at his home following a long decline in his health. Dan was born on July 25, 1958 in Muskegon to Laurence and Phyllis (Ross) Stone and has been a lifelong resident of the area . Dan joined the United States Army where he served in Germany until his honorable discharge in 1983. Dan had been great cook in his younger years, enjoyed calling Bingo at the Holton American Legion and had taught HIV Awareness in the public schools for several years. Dan was a member of the Holton American Legion, Post #397. Dan is survived by his mother, Phyllis Stone of Holton; his sisters and brothers, Tammy (Alan) Jager; Brian Stone; Melanie (Sandy Higgins) Stone; Kimberly (James) Macy; several nieces and nephews; special friend, Christopher "Night Raven" Ely of Chicago. Dan was preceded in death by his father, Laurence Stone; his niece, Ellen Mae Stone. Private family services will be held on Dan's birthday in July.
