Daniel Ray Taylor, age 75, of Hesperia, formerly of Holton, passed away on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the Corewell Gerber Memorial Hospital in Fremont. Daniel was born on August 7, 1948 in Grand Rapids to Leroy Mansfield and Elnora Adelia (Smith) Taylor. Daniel met and later married Deborah Wemple and she preceded him in death April 19, 2018. He has been a longtime resident of the Holton area where he enjoyed playing the guitar, building birdhouses, feeding the birds and making people laugh. Daniel is survived by his children, Nora Taylor, Daniel Taylor Jr., Bernadette Taylor, Michael Jones, Thomas Jones; Shannon Dagen; Tim Taylor and Mike Taylor; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his sisters, Elizabeth Taylor and Mary Lee Castle; his brother, Robert Taylor; many nieces and nephews. Daniel was preceded in death by his wife, Deborah Taylor; his daughter, Sonya Marie DeCheney; sisters and brothers, Lorraine Brown, Goldie Lanesky, Linda Cole, Sandra Cole, Timothy Taylor, Clifford Taylor. Memorial Services will be held on Monday, December 11, 2023 at 2pm at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412 with a time of visitation with the family 1 hour prior to the services.
