Darlene E. Taylor, age 54 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2009 at her home following a short illness. Darlene was born on January 24, 1955 in Detroit to Anthony Stanley and Nancy Jean (Petzel) Stencel and moved the area in 1976 from Detroit. Darlene met and later married Robert Bob Taylor on October 2, 1981 in White Cloud. Darlene had been a cook and waitress at the Eaton House Restaurant in White Cloud for several years and then started work at Dura Automotive where she had been a supervisor and later retired from Howmet. Darlene enjoyed crocheting, gardening, playing cribbage and scrabble. Darlene is survived by her husband, Robert Bob Taylor of Hesperia; her daughter, Samantha Stencel of White Cloud; her step son, Robert R.F. Robbie (Martha) Taylor of Indiana; 6 grandchildren; her sisters and brothers, Michael (Lori) Stencel of Tennessee; Denise Stencil of Ravenna; Thomas Stencel of White Cloud; Terry (Diane) Stencel of White Cloud; Kimberly (Bob) DeCheney of White Cloud. Private family memorial services were held following cremation. Friends may consider the Hackley Visiting Nurses for memorial contributions in memory of Darlene.
