Darold H. Carrier, age 79 of Holton, passed away Tuesday, June 4, 2019 in Holton. Darold was born on October 7, 1939 in Bridgeton Township to Arthur Howard and Irene Luella (Powles) Carrier and has been a lifelong resident of the Holton area. Darold married his wife, Janet and they were divorced. He later married Carol and Donna and they both preceded him in death. Darold had been a corrections officer for a period of time and worked various jobs throughout his lifetime. He enjoyed racing cars, had been a golden gloves boxer, socializing with friends, and hunting and fishing in his younger years. Darold is survived by his children, Sheila, Eric, Lisa, Darold, Mary, and Lisa; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; his brothers, Charles (Cindy Oates) Carrier of Holton; Douglas (Launata) Carrier of Muskegon; Sidney J. Carrier Jr. of Bridgeton; several nieces and nephews. Darold was preceded in death by his parents, Art and Irene (Powles) Carrier; his daughter, Kelly; and his sister, Darlene Smith. Private memorial services will be held following Darold's wishes for cremation.
