Darrell E. Flugg, age 71 of Fremont, passed away Sunday, July 29, 2012 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Darrell was born on August 16, 1940 in Muskegon to Kenneth Clark and Daisy Rosalie (Arthurhultz) Flugg and moved to the Fremont area in 1985 from Chelsea, Michigan. Darrell graduated from University of Michigan with a degree in literature and later worked as a publicist for McGraw Hill Publishing for several years. Darrell enjoyed reading and camping. Darrell is survived by his former wife, Barbara Gentry and a special friend, Pastor Steve Summerfield of Fremont. Darrell was preceded in death by a stepbrother. Following Darrells wishes, cremation will take place with no memorial services.
