Campbell, David "Soup" Mr. David Soup Campbell, age 53 of Holton, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, June 27, 2006 at the Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. David was born on August 18, 1952 in Fremont to Dale Glenn and Jenavene Jerry (Deters) Campbell and later married Kristi Evans on August 25, 1984 in Holton. David had worked at the DANA Corporation/Sealed Power in Muskegon and celebrated 30 years of employed with them on June 16, 2006. David was associated with the Holton Evangelical Lutheran Church, enjoyed hunting, fishing, motorcycle riding, gardening. David enjoyed spending time outdoors on his property being in the Michigan outdoors. He served his country during the Vietnam Era in the United States Army and was a member of the Holton American Legion, Post #397 He is survived by his wife, Kristi of Holton; his mother and stepfather, Jenavene Jerry (Ed) Trygstad of Holton; his sisters, Kay (Tony) Johnson of Fremont; Trudy Ellsworth of Holton; Cindy (Lloyd) Cochran of Wisconsin; Patty (Bud) Skilling of Holton; Julie (Keith) Piotrowski of Holton; his brothers, John (Judy) Campbell of Florida; Gary (Deb) Trygstad of Holton; Rick (Kris) Trygstad of Twin Lake; 26 nieces and nephews; his mother and father-in-law, Leo & Maxine Evans and family of Twin Lake; his step mother, Mary Anna Campbell of Florida; and many close friends. David was preceded in death by his father, Dale Glen Campbell and by a stepbrother, Guy Trygstad. Services of tribute and celebration were held on Thursday, June 29, 2006 from the Holton American Legion, Post #397. Friends may consider contributions to Crandell Funeral Home, for an organization to be determined later by the family.
