In strict adherence to the First Law of Thermodynamics, Dave shuffled off his mortal coil after a long and annoying struggle with dementia.  Entrepreneur, raconteur, pretty good golfer and brother to Marjorie Johnson Derks and Peter Reber Johnson (Renee Fabry), Dave was predeceased by brother, Bruce Kingsley Johnson, father, Ted Lincoln Johnson and mother, Nancy McNaul Reber Johnson.

He earned his Bachelor of Science in Geology from Grand Valley State University, and went on to receive a Master of Science in Geology from Western Washington State University.

He is survived by his brother and sister, numerous nieces and nephews, and a multitude of grand nieces and nephews.

In accordance with the Law of Conservation of Energy, not a bit of Dave is gone.   He's just less orderly.

In honor of his wishes, there will be no memorial services.  Graveside services will be private.
