Kelley, David L. David L. Kelley, age 75 of Hudsonville, passed away Monday, October 2, 2006 at the Brookcrest Nursing Center in Grandville. David was born on June 24, 1931 in Detroit to John and Natalie (Larson) Kelley and later met and married Donna Jean Hill on October 15, 1953 in Fremont. David moved back to the West Michigan area in 1996 from Chicago. David had been the plant manager at Dawes for 30 years until the plant closing and then became the plant manager at Griffith Lab for another 5 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Newaygo V.F.W. Sportsmans Post #4249. David also enjoyed hunting, fishing, and telling jokes to his family and many friends. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Jeanie of Hudsonville; his sons, David Kelley of Chicago; Mark (Tracey) Kelley of Chicago; Joe Kelley of Grand Rapids; Keith (Misty) Kelley of Homewood, Illinois; 7 grandchildren, Lisa, Cyndi, Christy, Katie, Jordan, Mindy, Marty; his great granddaughter, Natalie; his sister, Judy (John) Bukovac of Okemos, Michigan. Funeral services were held on Friday, October 6, 2006 at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel with interment in the Maple Grove Cemetery.
