David Easton Parks, age 75 of Fremont, passed away Friday, May 10, 2013 at his home following a lingering illness. David was born on August 10, 1937 in Newcomerstown, Ohio, to Harold Burton and Ruth Elinor (Laholt) Parks and married Linda Louise Janczyk on December 18, 1972 in Muskegon. David taught school in the Muskegon area and was a radio announcer back in the 70s having his own show on WTRU in Muskegon. David later became the project coordinator and retired from the Muskegon Community Mental Health Department. David is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Shelly Parks, Jeffrey Parks, Kim (Dale) Rosemeier, and Mark (Lynda) Petrick; 8 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; sister in law, Carol Parks; and 2 nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Dean Burton Parks. There will be no services at this time, but friends are asked to consider St. Jude Childrens Hospital, American Cancer Society, or Disabled American Veterans Association for a more lasting memorial donation.
