David H. Sevener, age 78 of White Cloud, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 15, 2021 at his home. David was born on August 1, 1942 in Detroit to Harold L and Jean M. (Auty) Sevener and graduated from Fortson Dearborn High School Dave joined the United States Navy where he served for 20 years until his final retirement on December 24, 1979 as Air Controlman. After his discharge from the United States Navy, Dave worked at the Gerber Products Company for over 15 years until his final retirement. Dave met and married Arline L. Ciupak on April 3, 1961 in Dearborn and Arline preceded him in death on April 28, 2012. Dave later married Gloria Carlson on February 5, 2015 in Gulf Port, Mississippi. Dave has been a resident of the White Cloud area for the over 40 years and enjoyed traveling, the Michigan outdoors – hunting and fishing; hobby farming and was a Life Member of the Hesperia American Legion.
David is survived by his wife, Gloria of White Cloud; his children, Carla (David) Burmeister of Fremont; Michael (Margaret) Sevener of Dearborn Heights; Denise (Eric) Hanson of Fremont; Brenda (Leon) Scott of White Cloud; 9 grandchildren, Robin (Scott) Tyink of Fremont; Ryan (Lucy) Burmeister of Newaygo; Meagan Sevener of Dearborn Heights; Matthew Sevener of Dearborn Heights; Elisha Hanson of Fremont; Ethan Hanson of Fremont; Leah Scott of Fremont; Sarah Scott of Fremont; Alissa Scott of Fremont; 4 great grandchildren; and Gloria's children and family.
Following Dave's wishes, cremation has taken place. Burial of the cremated remains of Dave and Arline will take place at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Maryland with full Military Honors given by the United States Navy Honor Guard of Arlington National Cemetery. Friends may consider memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association in memory of Dave.
