David VanderLeest, age 38, of Hesperia passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010. He was born on February 22, 1972, in Muskegon to Leon and Sandra (Botten) VanderLeest and married Bobbi Haase on September 24, 1994, in Hesperia. David was a driver for Foreway Transportation in Coopersville and enjoyed fishing, hunting, NASCAR, and camping with his family. David is survived by wife, Bobbi; daughter, Morgan; parents, Leon and Sandra VanderLeest; sister, Sheri (Lee) Golden; brother, Earl (Gloria) VanderLeest; nieces and nephews, Michael and Kendra Golden and Nathan and Amber VanderLeest; father and mother-in-law Robert and Dawn Haase; and brothers-in-law, Jon Haase and Wayne (LeaAnn) Haase. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010, from 5 - 8 PM at Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. A memorial service will be held on Friday at 11 AM at the funeral home. We shared many evenings talking about our families and joking with each other. Even after I left Holland we still kept in touch.
