Deborah Lynn Townsend, age 62, of Hesperia passed away on December 6, 2021. Deborah was born on January 22, 1959, in Onaway, Michigan to Lynn and Lucy JoAnn (DeFeyter) Hayner and later married Gerald "Jerry" Richard Townsend on June 6, 2010, at the Fremont Seventh Day Adventist Church. She was a Registered Nurse at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont and will be greatly missed as a caregiver and friend. Deborah loved to crochet, knit, cook, and camp with her family. Deborah is survived by her faithful husband, Jerry; children, Steve (Deanna) Shawl of Bellaire, Sheri (fiancé Dave Brown) Shawl of Whittemore, Charles R. Townsend of Wixom, Bethany Char Townsend of Fruitport, and Renee Marie (Derrick) McKee of Holton; her father, Lynn Hayner of Onaway; grandchildren, Robert, Hannah, Brendon, Jenna, Chris, Haily, Danielle, Ruthie, Megan, Lexie, Jaylynn, Chloe and David James "DJ"; sisters, Naomi (Art) Rought, Jesse (Tony) Hoover, and Julie (Tim) Lewis. She was preceded in death by her mother, Lucy JoAnn (DeFeyter) Hayner; brother, Westley "Sam" Hayner; and sister, Yvonne Lucinda Hayner. There will be a Memorial Service at 1pm on May 13th, 2022, to celebrate Deborah's life.
