DeEldon R. Brown, age 73 of White Cloud, formerly of Cadillac, passed away Thursday, December 2, 2010 at the Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial Health Services in Fremont. Dee was born on December 7, 1936 in Kalamazoo to DeEldon LaDon and Verna M. (Eaton) Brown. DeEldon married Dorothy Pitcher and she preceded him in death in 1966. He later married Mary Sutton on June 23, 1978 in Cadillac. Dee was a self employed truck driver and enjoyed fixing and tinkering with anything. He was a friend to anyone he met and known to any kid as Grandpa He enjoyed working in the Michigan outdoors, storytelling and The Duke John Wayne. SURVIVORS : his wife, Mary of Harrietta, MI; children, Norman (Shaun) Brown of Ludington; James (Leslie) Boyer of Rocky Point, North Carolina; April (Shawn) Drake of Cadillac; Scott Boyer of Mesick; Tim (Sheryl) Brown of White Cloud; 23 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; several step brothers and sisters; many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his daughter, Bonnie Brown in 1979. VISITATION : Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 from 12-2pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2010 at 2pm at the funeral home. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : The Brown family to assist with expenses. INTERMENT : In the Spring of 2011 at the Batchelor Cemetery in Tallman, Michigan.
