Delores "Lottie" Ann Mater, age 82 of Fremont, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at the Mercy Health Hackley Hospital in Muskegon. Lottie was born on August 7, 1934 in Fremont to Dan and Lena (Anderson) Hill and spent most of her younger years in Fremont. She moved to Tombstone, Arizona where she graduated in 1952. Lottie married Duane Mater on February 2, 1957 in Las Vegas, Nevada and Duane preceded in death on October 26, 2011. Lottie moved back to the Fremont area in 1968 and had been a sales clerk at Dancer's Clothing Store and later for Big Wheel until her retirement. Lottie was a longtime member of the Woman of the Moose Lodge #401 in Fremont, enjoyed knitting, quilting, watching her soap operas on television and was an avid golfer. Lottie especially treasured the time she spent with her family.

Lottie is survived by her children, Duane (Julie) Mater Jr. of Carlsbad, California and their daughter, Claire; Diane (Kenneth Fish) Mater of Lansing and their daughter, Grace; her sisters, Donna "Jeanie" Kelly of Grand Rapids; Ila (Gordon) Wood of Grand Rapids; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister, Doris Boyd and her brother's-in-laws, David Kelly and Dale Boyd.
