Delores M. Carson, age 87 of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, March 31, 2019 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Delores was born on May 22, 1931 to Dean and Cornelia (Wolfsen) Cripe of Delphi, Indiana and later moved to Fremont in June 1949 and in 1950 she met her husband Marvin on a blind date. She married Marvin on March 4, 1951 and Marvin preceded her in death on December 9, 1994. Delores moved to their dairy farm (Carson Acres) in 1962 on Stone Road and together Delores and Marvin began the journey with four sons and twin daughters. She helped take care of Marvin's younger brother, Kit after Marvin's mother passed away in 1977. Delores had worked at Gerber Products Company as a Union Representative and in other production areas for 17 years, and volunteered at Gerber Memorial Hospital in the gift shop for many years. She had been a member of the women's VFW Auxiliary in Hesperia and the Red Hat Society. Delores loved to entertain and celebrate birthdays and was a member of the Aetna Calvary Church. She enjoyed playing cards, making puzzles, reading, and traveling including trips to Greece, Hawaii, Japan, cruises and other special places. She traveled with her husband, friends, granddaughters, grandsons throughout the United States. She also enjoyed going to school events, recitals and dance competitions, and sporting events of her grandchildren. She is survived by her children, Randy Carson of White Cloud; Darrell Carson of Hesperia; Thomas (Shirley) Carson of Hesperia; Raymond (Joyce) Carson of South Lyon, MI; Della (Michael) Champ of Omaha, Nebraska; Debbie Carson of Hesperia; her grandchildren and great grandchildren, Darrel Carson Jr; Christine Dekker; Dennis (Joanna) Jager and their children, Seth, Faith, Joshua; Jeff (Samantha) Jager; Eric (Brittany) Carson and their children, Tucker, Briella; Ryan (Hannah) Carson and their children, Callie Jo, Jessa; Stephanie Carson; Audrey Carson and her daughter, Hayden; Jennifer Carson; Marissa Carson; Matthew Champ and his son, Ryan; Kathryn Champ and her children, Zakary, Rylee, Andrew; Robert Champ;her sister and brothers, Frances Lohrman of Delphi, Indiana Robert Cripe of Minnesota; Ronald Cripe of Elk Grove, Illinois; Vernon (Sandy) Cripe of Delphi, Indiana and many other loving family members, nieces nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Caroline Reynolds and Betty Walker; her sister-in-law's, Ida Cripe and Nancy Cripe.
