Stone, Delores Jane Delores Jane Stone, age 85 of Fremont, passed away Tuesday, May 10, 2005 at her home in Fremont. Jane was born on March 17, 1920 in Belding to Leslie C. and Lydia (Gantz) Yost. She graduated from the Carson City High School and later attended and graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in education. She started teaching at Coopersville High School and later retired after many years of teaching math at the Fruitport High School in 1973. She married Carl F. Stone on April 13, 1945 in Fruitport and Carl preceded her in death in 1983. Jane has been a resident of the Fremont area since 1988 when she moved from the Bear Lake area. She was a member of the Michigan Retired Teachers Association, was a member First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fremont where she was an active member and member of the choir and Womens Fellowship. Jane loved music, was an accomplished pianist and was loved for her quiet serving manner. She is survived by her children, Janice Stone of Fremont; David (Linda) Stone of Tucson, Arizona; Richard (Linda) Stone of Muscatine, Iowa; 6 grandchildren, Nathan, Brian, Amanda, Daniel, Benjamin, Michael; 1 great granddaughter, Alice. She was preceded in death by he brother, William. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Fremont with interment in the Fruitport Cemetery.
