Dennis Melvin Drum, age 73, of Muskegon, passed away on Thursday, September 6, 2018, in Fremont. Dennis was born on May 15, 1945, in Muskegon to Clarence and Beatrice (Cassini) Drum and had been a truck driver for Gilland Wagner and Dupont. Dennis enjoyed working on cars and was an auto enthusiast. Dennis served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was an active member of the Holton American Legion where he volunteered and assisted with blood drives. Dennis loved his family and cherished his time with his 102 children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Dennis is survived by his children, Jacki (Mike) Lynnes of Mackinaw City, Guy (Raene) Redinger of Fremont, Raelene (Paul) Maynard of Massachusetts, Tammy Heemstra of Howard City, Robin (Roger) Parks of Newaygo, Terri (Darrell) Hutson of Morley, Michele Langrick of Fremont, Dawn Drum of Elmire, Michigan, Denise (Mike) Hull of Palmer, Alaska, and Dale Drum of St. Petersburg, Florida; sister and brothers, Judy (James H.) Smith of Whitehall, Timothy J. (Sue) Farish of St. Augustine, Florida, and Jeffrey R. (Louanne) Drum of Muskegon; former wife, Millie Drum; and many nieces and nephews. Military honors, services, and luncheon will be at 1 PM, on Monday, September 10, 2018, at the Holton American Legion Post #397.
