Dennis "Mike" Wright, age 40 of Big Rapids, passed away Saturday, February 23, 2002 at the Spectrum Health-Blodgett Campus in Grand Rapids. He was born on September 23, 1961 in Grand Rapids to Theodore and Lorraine (Randall) Wright and has been a resident of the Big Rapids area for the past 16 years where he had worked as a journeyman at Simonds Industries in Big Rapids and was a member of the Mecosta Area Cycle Club. He is survived by his children, Denise Wright of Rodney; Eric Wright of Rodney; his mother, Lorraine Dingler of Muskegon; brothers and sisters, Royal Randall of Howard City; James McWhorter of Escanaba; Kelvin (Teresa) Wright of Big Rapids; Theodore (Lorraine) Wright of Escanaba; Flora (Cliff) Koster of Cedar Springs; Dale (Kris) Wright of Middleton, NY; Edward (Robin) Wright of Muskegon; his ex-wife, Barb Frazier of Rodney; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Theodore Wright. Funeral services were held on Wednesday, February 27, 2002 from the Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel with Pastor Mark Nix presiding with interment in the Big Prairie Township Cemetery.
