Derek Adam Hooven, age 25, of Wyoming, Michigan passed away on Monday, August 1, 2016, at Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Derek was born on February 2, 1991, in Fremont to Steven and Tina Ann (Jones) Hooven. He enjoyed working on cars, drawing, playing video games, fishing, and skateboarding. Derek is survived by his son, Levi; father, Steven A. Hooven; brother Joshua (fiance Sarah Clancy) Hooven; maternal grandparents, Zane and Myrtle Jones; aunts and uncles, Dan, Sharon, Brian, Kim, Robin, Terry, Russell, Jodi, Kitty, and Glenn. He was preceded in death by his mother, Tina and sister, Samantha Hooven in 1994. Services will be held at 2 PM, on Sunday, August 7, 2016, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont with Rev. Gary Shears officiating. There will be visitation from 12 2 PM prior to the service. Interment will be in Big Prairie Cemetery in White Cloud.
