Diane F. Ball, age 64 of Newaygo, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2009 at the Spectrum Health Butterworth Campus in Grand Rapids. Diane was born on July 16, 1944 in Grand Rapids to Joseph and Gracie (Russo) Russo and later met and married Gerald Ball Sr. on September 25, 1961 in Newaygo. Diane has been a resident of the Newaygo area for the past 41 years where she has been a homemaker. Diane enjoyed fishing, watching and feeding the birds at her home, playing cards, working word search puzzles, gardening and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great grand daughters. Diane is survived by her husband of 47 years, Gerald of Newaygo; her children, Marie (Steve) Graham of Newaygo; Joseph (Teresa) Ball of Newaygo; Gerald (Mickey) Ball of Newaygo; Michael (Tammi) Ball of Newaygo; Jimmy (Jennifer) Ball of New London, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; 4 great grand daughters; her brothers and sisters, Joseph Sonny (Imguard Maria) Russo of Grand Rapids; Marianne (James) Rich of Grand Rapids; Antoinette (Charles) Banka of Grand Rapids; Catherine (William) Hamilton of Stanwood; Michael (Regina) Russo of Grand Rapids. Diane was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey Ball; her parents, Joseph and Gracie Russo; and by her brother, James Russo. VISITATION : Thursday 5-8pm at Crandell Funeral Home White Cloud Chapel.
