Dirk E. VanZanten, age 48 of White Cloud, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 24, 2022 at his home. Dirk was born on July 6, 1973 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Dirk C. and Judith (Naruszkiewicz) VanZanten and has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area. Dirk had been a construction worker at Utility Contracting and Mid State Utilities and enjoyed fishing, listening to country music, spending time with family socializing with friends. Dirk is survived by 3 sons; his mother, Judy Mills (special friend, Leonard Johnson) of Newaygo; stepmother, Deb VanZanten of Cedar Springs; his sisters and brothers, Tammy (Russ) Winter of Grand Rapids; Vincent Eller of Muskegon; Chrissy Maczka of Muskegon; Donald (Theresa) Eller of Muskegon; Jenny (Jim) Charles of Newaygo; Denise Goins of White Cloud; Tonia (Doug) Zain of Cedar Springs; Terra (Jeff) Drayton of Ionia; Tammy (Blain) Dayton of Cedar Springs; Joe (Marian) Galy of Muskegon; step brother, Frank Coluntuno of Grand Rapids; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; several aunts and uncles. Dirk was preceded in death by his father, Dirk C. VanZanten; stepfather, Richard Mills; grandparents, Dirk and Ann VanZanten, Emma Flemming, Edward Naruszkiewicz.
