Dolores Dee A. Dougan, age 84 of Hesperia, passed away Saturday, July 2, 2016 at the Oceana County Medical Center. Dee was born on March 15, 1932 in Hesperia to Albert and Pauline (Lynn) McGill and later married Gaylord Dougan on September 24, 1949 at the Hesperia United Methodist Church. Gaylord preceded her in death on December 20, 2004. Dee has been a lifelong resident of the Hesperia area where she had been cook at the Hesperia Public Schools and later became a nurses aide at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont for 20 years until her retirement. Dee was a member of the Hesperia United Methodist Church and the Hesperia United Methodist Church Womens Fellowship, had enjoyed square dancing and was a member of the Mills Swinging Squares and had been a member of the Rebekah Lodge of Hesperia. Dee was known for her cooking and especially treasured the time she spent with her family. Dee is survived by her children, Duane (Tammie) Dougan of Hesperia; Gayla (Scott) Haas of Worthington, Minnesota; Debra (Terry) McKinnon of Hesperia; 9 grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; her sister, Sue Ellen Otterson of Hesperia; many nieces and nephews. Dee was preceded in death by her grandson, Travers Levi Beatty in 2000 and her sister, Dolly Kirwin in 2015. VISITATION : Wednesday, July 6, 2016 from 4 to 7 at Crandell Funeral Home Fremont Chapel. FUNERAL SERVICES : Thursday, July 7, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the Hesperia United Methodist Church, 187 E. South Ave Hesperia MI 49421. INTERMENT : East Hesperia Cemetery.
