Dolores M. Kurek, age 87, of Fremont and formerly of Grand Rapids, passed away on Sunday, April 15, 2012, at Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont. Dolores was born on March 23, 1925, to Karl and Martha (Nowicki) Hentschel and retired from Spectrum Health Hospital. Dolores is survived by her children Robert (Chris) Kurek of Grand Rapids, Nancy (Frank) Hartuniewicz of Fremont, Mary (Peter) Verburg of Lowell, and Linda (Dan Swackhammer) Couturier of Cedar Springs; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by his brothers, Robert and Karl Hentschel. A prayer service will be held for Dolores on Thursday, April 19, 2012, at 11:30 AM at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Brunswick with Father Roc Majalla officiating.
