Don Stein, age 55, of Grant passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Spectrum Health Services Gerber Memorial. Don was born on May 23, 1957, in Tennessee to Jimmy and Lena (Goergevech) Stein and married Sonja Shamulaus on November 27, 1982, in Grand Rapids. Don did a lot of traveling around the country in his younger years and owned and operated a roofing company. Don is survived by his children, Julie Marie Romanski Stein of Fremont and Tim Stein of Grant. Also surviving, Dons grandchildren, April Marie Romanski and her children, Airana, Tavian, Miliani,and Zakario; Aaron Jacob Romanski and his daughter, Aaiyana; Jordan Jacob Stein; and Paige Marie Stein. Don has four surviving brothers, Walter Stein, George (Bessa) Stein, Steve (Debbie) Stein, and Lee Stein. Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 22, 2013, at 3 PM, at the Crandell Funeral Home in Fremont. There will be visitation prior to the service from 1PM 3PM.
