Donald F. Clary, age 88 of White Cloud, passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at his home. Don was born on October 29, 1929, Black Tuesday, the day the stock market collapsed, to Fred A. and Della (Hathley) Clary in White Cloud and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1948. Don later married Georgiana "Jo" Smith on January 28, 1956 in Bitely. Don has been a lifelong resident of the White Cloud area where he was known to many in the community for his kind heart, great stories, bright blue eyes and infectious smile. Some knew him as the local farmer or Everett Township politician. Don ran a tractor into his late 70's, toured Alaska, Canada and the lower United States by car and was a Boy Scout leader to hundreds of young men. Don retired from Gerber Products after 42 years of service. Don also owned and operated Diamond Lake Tavern and sold real estate for a time. Don was a man that believed in family first above all else.

Don is survived by his wife, Jo; his son, Don (Laurie) Clary; 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; numerous sisters-in-law's and brothers-in-law's. Don was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Thompson; his son, Charles Clary; and his brothers, O. Chester Clary; Norman Clary and Willis Clary.

VISITATION : Friday, November 17, 2017 from 1-2pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church 1125 E Newell St, White Cloud, MI 49349 MEMORIAL SERVICES : Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2pm at the White Cloud United Methodist Church. INTERMENT : Big Prairie Everett Township Cemetery. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS : White Cloud Eagles Building Fund.
