Donald G. Kaiser, age 78 of Goodwell Township, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 21, 2023 with his family at his side. Don was born on February 6, 1945 in Fremont to Lambert Willie and Pauline Kathryn (Welsh) Kaiser and graduated from White Cloud High School in 1963. Don was drafted into the United States Army following graduation and due to his flat feet was assigned to be a driver for the U.S. Army. His first assignment took him to West Point where he drove for a 4 Star General and later to the Thailand where he drove for a Colonel until his honorable discharge. Don returned back to White Cloud and later married Doreen Flasck on September 6, 1980 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud. Don had worked at Wolverine Tractor in Grand Rapids to 32 years until his retirement. Don enjoyed farming and collecting, buying, selling and fixing all types of farm equipment. He truly treasured spending time with and teaching his grandchildren, Don knew someone no matter where he went and would never pass up a chance to share a meal or cup of coffee with friends or family.
Don is survived by his wife, Doreen; his children and grandchildren – Donald Kaiser of White Cloud and his children, Kaylyn, Linsie, Madalyn; David (Mandy) Kaiser of Big Rapids and their children, Makayla and David; DeAnne (Jim) Coon of White Cloud and their children, Joseph, Courtney, Jacob and Penny; special grandson, Tommy Gunn; his brothers and sister, Jerry (Garnet) Kaiser of White Cloud; Maxine Olson of Big Rapids; Dennis (Mary) Kaiser of White Cloud; several nieces and nephews; many cousins; his mother-in-law, Delores Flasck of White Cloud. Don was preceded in death by his parents, Lambert and Pauline Kaiser and his father-in-law, Dominick Flasck; brother-in-law, Herman Olson; sister-in-law, Christine Pachla.
VISITATION : Thursday, July 27, 2023 from 4-7pm at Crandell Funeral Home – White Cloud Chapel 1109 Court Street White Cloud MI 49349 and 1 hour prior to the services at the St. Joseph Catholic Church. MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL : Friday, July 28, 2023 at 11am at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in White Cloud with MILITARY HONORS immediately following the Mass services at the church. Following Don's request and to his final tribute, a luncheon will be held following military honors.
